Abstract
The quadrilateral space syndrome is very rare clinical syndrome which is caused by compression of axillary
nerve and posterior circumflex artery in quadrilateral space. Electromyography (EMG) is key study
to confirm diagnosis with angiography and magnetic resonance image (MRI) as supplementary diagnostic
tool. Though quadrilateral space syndrome is very rare, it should be considered with a patient with shoulder
pain. We present a 36 years old man with pain and weakness of both shoulder after weight lifting
which was diagnosed as quadrilateral space syndrome by EMG and MRI. The purpose of this report is to
attract attention to an unusual etiology of shoulder pain.
